Abstract

|
This study attempted to verify whether grit mediated in the relationship between the growth mindset and career preparation behavior of university students. For the study, a survey was conducted on 369 university students located in the J area using the growth mindset scale, grit scale, and career preparation behavior scale. The results of the study are as follows. First, there was a significant correlation between growth mindset, grit and career preparation behavior. Second, grit has been shown to be partially mediated in the relationship between the university students' growth mindset and career preparation behavior.
Based on these results, this study has significance in providing basic data in the career counseling field stating that growth mindset and grit promote career preparation behavior in university students. Finally, the limitations of the study and suggestions for subsequent studies were discussed.
